Chopping board out of walnut tree

his chopping board was made out of walnut tree during Spring 2012. I kept the original outer shape of the board, explaining its asymmetric design. I used a combination of electrical machines such as a router, and hand tools for carving the date and the flakes were I just removed the bark of the tree (right picture). Its size if 45cm wide and 75cm high.
Walnut tree is abundant around Grenoble, related to a long-standing walnut production. Its wood has therefore been long used for doors to buildings and flat and cabinet making in the area.
