LIGHT AND SHADE

Feb. 9th, 2009, Granon pass, southern Alps

June 17th, 2008, Shanghai, China

Unfortunately, that day I only had a pocket camera with me. Preset at the lowest sensitivity 100 ISO and smallest opening (F/8), and without shade filter, the suitable triggering time was 1/1000 s, a bit too short to best catch the movement of snowflakes brought flying by the heavy wind. Taken at dusk while the cyclist was moving (and from a moving bus!) and with focal length 48mm APS, this picture required the combination of 2200 ISO, significant aperture (F/4.5) and not so short triggering (1/100s).
